Eleven big movies releasing this July

Several big Bollywood & Hollywood movies are set to release this month.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Webbing the theaters on July 7, 2017, the next movie of the Spider-man franchise focuses on Peter Parker aka Spider-Man juggling between his personal and Superhero life. Peter Parker, played by actor Tom Holland wants to prove himself to Tony Stark, The Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. to join the Avengers. As the plot progresses, he juggles between his life at Midtown Science and Technology School with his friends and his crime-fighting activities hiding behind the name of an 'inetrnship' at the Stark Industries.

War for the Planet of the Apes

The third installment of the Planet of the Apes trilogy, the American Science Fiction is releasing on July 14, 2017. Leader of the genetically enhanced tribe of Apes, Caesar, is played by Andy Serkis who also starred in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit sagas. The humans and the apes are at a war and Caesar's wife and son are killed by the soldiers. Caesar is struggling with his own dark instincts to fight for his race and a face off between Caesar and the Colonel will decide the future of their species and the planet.

Dunkirk

Hitting the theaters on July 21, 2017, Dunkirk is set during the Second World War. The movie is directed by Christopher Nolan and he planned on telling the story from three perspectives: land, air and sea. In the film, The German army surrounds the allied soldiers from Belgium, Canada, France and the British Empire on the beaches of Dunkirk.

The Dark Tower

Set to release on July 28, 2017, the movie is based on Stephen King's The Dark Tower. The film is directed by Nikolaj Arcel who also directed the famous movie, 'A royal affair'. In this film, Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), the last Gunslinger, is locked in an eternal battle with Walter O'Dim (Matthew McConaughey), also known as the Man in Black.

Wish Upon

The Supernatural horror film, set to hit the theaters on July 14 in USA, revolves around a mysterious music box given to Clare Shannon by her father as a present. She slowly finds out that all her wishes were coming true because of the box but the joy soon turns into terror when she realises the price for each wish. The film was out in India last week.

Lipstick Under My Burkha

After facing a lot of ups and downs, the film is finally set to release on July 21, 2017. The first trailer was released on October 14, 2016 and the film was rejected by the Central Board of Film Certification in January 2017. But that wasn't the end of it. The film premiered in Tokyo and Mumbai Film Festivals where it won the Spirit of Asia Prize and the Oxfam Award for Best Film on Gender Equality.

Indu Sarkar

Releasing on July 28, 2017, Indu Sarkar is co-written, co-produced and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. It is set during the 21-month long emergency period in India from 1975 to 1977 which was declared by Prime Minister, Indra Gandhi.

Daddy (2017)

Arjun Rampal starring 'Daddy' is an Indian Political crime drama directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. The movie will be coming to the big screen on July 21, 2017. It is a journey into the Mumbai Underworld focusing on the story of Arun Gawli, who became one of the most feared gangsters of India.

Jagga Jasoos

The Indian musical adventure is all set to release on July 14, 2017. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Saswata Chatterjee in the lead roles, the film is directed by Anurag Basu. According to the Director, the film will have 29 songs. Jagga, played by Ranbir is a teenage detective who is on a quest with his female companion to find his missing father .

Munna Michael

Indian action-dance film starring Tiger Shroff, Nidhhi Agerwal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is hitting the theaters on July 21, 2017. Nawazuddin plays the role of a gangster who aspires to dance and Tiger in the lead role of Munna is a young man from the streets who is a huge fan of Michael Jackson and is trying to follow his footsteps.

Mubarakan

It is a story of identical twin brothers Karan and Charan played by Arjun Kappor. The two brothers have contrasting characters. Karan, brought up in London is simple and idealistic whereas Charan, grew up in Punjab and is street smart and calculative. The romantic comedy is set to release on July 28, 2017.
