Meet the World's Highest Paid Celebrities: From Kylie Jenner to Akshay Kumar

On Thursday, Forbes dropped their list of The World's Highest-Paid Celebrities. Topping the list, Kylie Jenner ranked first with an earning of $590 million in a year followed by her family member Kanye West who takes the second spot. 

On Thursday, Kylie Jenner topped the annual Forbes list of the highest-paid celebrities. Forbes(American business magazine) estimated that Jenner earned $590 million in the last 12 months, mostly from the sale of a 51% stake in her Kylie Cosmetics line to Coty in 2019.

Kanye West is not only the highest-paid musician of 2020 but he’s also the second-highest-paid celebrity overall. West is at number 2 with $170 million, far ahead of the next musician on the list, Elton John, who came in at number 13 overall.

Tyler Perry grossed the sixth position in the list with $97M earning in a year. He is best known for his Madea franchise, which has grossed more than $660 million.

Commonly known as The Rock, Dwayne Johnson is the world's highest-paid actor, however he was in tenth place in an overall list with an earning of $ 87.5 million in a year. 

Ellen Degeneres also pledged her support to help India in its pandemic crisis. By sharing the details about Jay Shetty's organization, she tweeted, '' India needs our help. My friend @JayShettyIW and I are trying to raise $1M for @GiveIndia, and @IndiasporaForum will match it! This means every dollar is doubled, so we can try our best to make a difference. If you can help, I hope you will''.

Rock legend Elton John is the second highest-ranked musician after Kanye West. Elton grabbed the 14 position in overall list with earnings of $81M over the past year. 

Pop star Ariana Grande is ranked at 17th position with earnings of $72 million. In 2019, Sweetener World Tour grossed $146 million. 

Ryan Reynolds is the second-most highest paid actor in the world as per the Forbes. 'Deadpool' star grossed 18th position in overall list of highest paid celebrities. 

The Jonas Brothers come in a 20th position with earnings of $68.5 million.The Brothers were grossing over $1.5 million per stop before wrapping their reunion tour in February 2020.

The Chainsmokers captured the No. 21 spot with earnings of $68M in a year. Last year, they were the highest-paid DJs of 2019. As now they have transformed themselves from DJ duo to arena rockers for their recent World War Joy Tour.

 

 

Akshay Kumar is the only Indian to feature on Forbes 2020 list of World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities. The actor ranked at the 52nd spot with earnings estimated at $48.5 million.
