Meet the 2019 Grammy Awards nominees: Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Cardi B & more

Music's biggest night returns on Sunday, Feb 10. The 61st annual Grammy Awards, like previous years, will bring together many of the industry's most respected names for the Recording Academy's annual celebration.

The 2019 Grammy unveiled an impressive pool of nominees in December. 

Read on for who is nominated, for what this year:

Cardi B

Cardi B is up in the list of Album of the Year for 'Invasion Of Privacy' plus Record of the Year for 'I Like It', along with artists Bad Bunny & J Balvin.

She has five nominations in total this year, a number matched only by Lady Gaga.

These include Best Rap Album for 'Invasion Of Privacy', Best Rap Performance 'Be Careful', and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her Maroon 5 collaboration 'Girls Like You.'

Actor and singer Childish Gambino arriving for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

Childish Gambino has five nominations.

'This is America' has won him the nomination for the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video and also Best Rap/ Sung performance.

His song ' Feels Like Summer' is up in the nomination list in the category of Best R&B song.

Drake

Canadian rapper Drake came in with the second most nominations with seven in total.

He is up for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap song for 'God's Plan' and Album of the Year for 'Scorpion.'

He is also nominated in the category of Best Rap Performance for 'Nice for What'.

'Sicko Mode' has also been nominated in the category of Best Rap Performance and the Best Rap song.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga scored five nominations. Four from her work on 'A Star Is Born' widely lauded song 'Shallow'. 

'Shallow' is under the category of the Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song written for Visual Media. 

She has also received a nod for her album 'Joanne', for the Best Pop Solo performance.

Post Malone

His second studio album 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' has been nominated for the Album of the Year award, while 'Rockstar' (featuring 21 Savage) has been nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rap/Sung Performance.

He's also up for Best Pop Solo Performance with another of his songs, 'Better Now', bringing his number of total nominations to a pretty respectable four.

Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar dominates the list with eight nominations.

He leads the pack with his work on the hit Marvel film 'Black Panther' soundtrack 'All The Stars'. It has been rewarded with multiple nominations including Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

'Kings Dead' has been nominated for the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap song. 

'Win' is also nominated under the Best Rap Song.

Shawn Mendes

The 20-year-old Shawn Mendes will mark this as his first ever Grammy nomination.

He is up for the Best Pop Vocal Album award with his self- titled release. His song 'In My Blood' is also nominated for the Best Song of the Year.

Beba Rexha

Bebe Rexha earned two nominations for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for 'Meant To Be' with Florida Georgia Line.

'Meant To Be' saw large success as a country crossover single, peaking at number two on the Billboard HoT chart in the United States

Dua Lipa

Though Dua Lipa’s talents have been recognised by award shows around the world in the past few years, she says acknowledgement from the Recording Academy is the music industry’s top honour. 

She is up in the nomination list for the Best New Artist and has also got the nod for the Best Dance Recording for 'Electricity'.

Camila Cabello

Camila Cabello has scored 2019 Grammy Award nominations in two categories.

The pretty singer is competing against her dear friend Shawn Mendes in the Best Pop Vocal Album category for 'Camila'.

She has also been nominated for the Best Pop Solo performance fro the worldwide lauded 'Havana(Live)'.

Ariana Grande

The singer  Ariana Grande has received two nominations, one for Best Pop Solo Performance for 'God Is A Woman' and another for Best Pop Vocal Album 'for Sweetener'.

Ariana has been in news the entire year for her personal issues, engagement to Pete and then break up with him. She also paid tribute to good friend Mac Miller who died this year.

Maroon 5

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards Nomination list has Maroon 5 in the category of Best Pop Duo/Group performance for their popular track 'Girls Like You.'

The song became a rage as soon as it came out and recorded one of the highest number of downloads on music-sharing apps.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has been off the game for a bit now but she has managed a nod this year too at the Grammys. She won a nomination for her sixth album 'Reputation'. 

She has been nominated in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album.
