'Laal Singh Chaddha' to 'Looop Lapeta' Bollywood remakes to watch out for

Over the years, Bollywood has taken inspiration from plenty of film industries around the globe and this year we have quite a few that are ready to hit the screens. From Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha' to Salman Khan's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai': here is the list of upcoming Bollywood remakes that you need to watch out for.

Laal Singh Chaddha

Aamir Khan's most awaited movie 'Laal Singh Chaddha' is the official Hindi remake of the cult classic, 'Forrest Gump'. Based on a 1986 novel by Winston Groom, the film starring Tom Hanks was a massive hit.

The 1994 movie, which was a huge hit and won six Academy Awards in 1995, including Best Actor, follows the story of a slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama, who witnesses and unwittingly influences several defining historical events in the 20th century United States.

Looop Lapeta

Taapsee Pannu is next starring in the Hindi adaptation of the critically-acclaimed German thriller 'Run Lola Run'. The film was written and directed by Tom Tykwer and stars Franka Potente as Lola. The story follows a woman who needs to obtain 100,000 Deutschmarks in twenty minutes to save her boyfriend's life.

Pannu released her first look which become the talk of the town. In the poster, she is seen sitting in a dark and dingy toilet holding a piece of paper that looks important and is wearing a T-shirt with shorts and shoes.

The Intern

Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor got the fans super excited as they announced the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film 'The Intern'. Earlier, it was reported that Deepika and Rishi would be seen essaying the roles originally played by Anne Hathway and Robert Di Nero. However, post the demise of  Rishi, the film’s production was stopped. Now we hear that the makers of the film have roped in Amitabh Bachchan for the film.

The 2015 comedy-drama follows the story of Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old retired man, who applies and gets accepted in a senior intern programme.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai

Salman Khan's much-anticipated action-thriller 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' will hit the theatres on May 13, 2021, on the occasion of Eid. In the movie, Khan will once again play a cop and will be seen in a fierce avatar. The movie is the remake of a Korean film titled 'The Outlaws' directed by Kang Yoon-sung.

Rambo

Tiger Shroff is stepping into the shoes of Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character, 'Rambo'. The movie is a remake of the Hollywood movie of the same name and was a big hit of its time.

Filmmaker Siddharth Anand is adapting the 1992 Hollywood action film that was set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War and told the story of John Rambo, a troubled war veteran.
