India vs Australia

"Men in Blue" played the game donning their brand new jersey. On March 1, team India launched the kit for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019.

It was launched in the presence of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Harmanpreet Kaur, Ajinkya Rahane, Jemimah Rodrigues and Prithvi Shaw.

The kit makers have added special features to the kit as they have emblazoned dates of India's past World Cup triumphs - which are the ODI World Cups in 1983 and 2011, and the T20 World Cup win in 2007 - behind the back of collar.

Jasprit Bumrah

The way Jasprit Bumrah has been consistently bowling, it is pretty sure that he is definitely in India's World Cup plans.

In his 10-over spell, he gave away 60 runs and took two wickets, which included Aaron Finch's dismissal.

Finch faced just three deliveries of the second over when paceman Jasprit Bumrah got the opener caught behind by wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Rohit Sharma

India's star opener Rohit Sharma accelerated India's chase.

After Shikhar Dhawan's early dismissal, Rohit, who made 37, and Kohli set up the chase during their partnership of 76.

Dhoni

It was Dhoni's 71st ODI half-century that brought the packed house on its feet to applaud another match-winning knock from the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman.

Fittingly, Dhoni finished the game with successive boundaries off Marcus Stoinis.

The second ODI is scheduled for Nagpur on Tuesday.
