Emmy 2020 Awards are notably different this year. Jimmy Kimmel will host the virtual event, with no audience and no red carpet. As only few days are left for Emmys, bets are being placed on various categories and top contenders in each category has been identified.

Here we have made a list of one of the leading nominations, who we think will be the evening's big winners.

Drama category: Succession

Other nominees: Better Call Saul, The Crown, The Handmaid's Tale, Killing Eve, The Mandalorian, Ozark, Stranger Things, Succession

After series finale of 'Games of Thrones', HBO's next big drama is 'Succession'.  The drama is pretty much on top and might be taking the Emmy home.

Perhaps no other series has better captured the audience's attention like this series. 'Better Call Saul' could stand in the second position and could also take the award. The spinoff of two-time winner 'Breaking Bad' has been nominated in this category in every year since its 2015 debut.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama: Jennifer Aniston

Other nominees: Jennifer Aniston, 'The Morning Show'; Olivia Colman, 'The Crown'; Jodie Comer, 'Killing Eve'; Laura Linney, 'Ozark'; Sandra Oh, 'Killing Eve'; Zendaya, 'Euphoria'.

This category is one, which attracts us the most. Jennifer Aniston who is nominated after 11 years, is leading in this  category this year. Other than Aniston, Jodie Comer, last year's Emmy winner and 'The Crown' Olivia Colman are also up for the award.

Jennifer who bagged Screen Actors Guild Award earlier this year for 'The Morning Show' might take Emmy too. If she wins, then it would be her first Emmy win in 18 years, after 'Friends' in 2002.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy: Catherine O’Hara

Other nominees: Tracee Ellis Ross, 'black-ish'; Christina Applegate, 'Dead To Me'; Linda Cardellini, 'Dead To Me'; Issa Rae, 'Insecure'; Rachel Brosnahan, 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel'; Catherine O'Hara, 'Schitt's Creek'.

In this category, no one matches Catherine O’Hara's scene stealing performance in 'Schitt’s Creek'. O’Hara is an icon as Moira Rose, whose absurd performance and outrageous outfits in the show attract most of the audience attention.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama: Jason Bateman

Other nominees: Jason Bateman, 'Ozark'; Sterling K. Brown, 'This Is Us'; Steve Carell, 'The Morning Show'; Brian Cox, 'Succession'; Billy Porter, 'Pose'; Jeremy Strong, 'Succession'.

This is a tough race precisely, but after delivering an outstanding performance as a financial advisor, Jason Bateman is leading the noms. After 'Ozark', 'Succession' leads the series with the two noms for Brian Cox and second son for Jeremy Strong.

Other nominees: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Dead To Me, The Good Place, Insecure, The Kominsky Method, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Schitt's Creek, What We Do In The Shadows.

Although there is quite a competition in this category, there are number of powerful contenders like 'Schitt’s Creek', 'The Good Place', Emmy favourite 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel'. Among them 'Schitt’s Creek' is one, that makes you laugh more and is the most award-worthy.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy: Ramy Youssef

Other nominees: Anthony Anderson, 'black-ish'; Don Cheadle, 'Black Monday'; Ted Danson, 'The Good Place'; Michael Douglas, 'The Kominsky Method'; Eugene Levy, 'Schitt's Creek'; Ramy Youssef, 'Ramy'.

Earlier this year, Ramy Youssef won a surprise Golden Globe for 'Ramy', and again he can be honoured with another prestigious award. Although Ted Danson is giving Ramy a tough competition and can grab the award for his outstanding performance.

Ted Danson is nominated at the Emmys once again for his outstanding comedy. Ted has two Best Comedy Actor Emmy nominations under his belt for 'The Good Place,' but he’s lost both to Bill Hader.
