In pictures: From Spider-Man to Black Panther, the many superheroes Stan Lee made

'There will never be another Stan Lee', Chris Evans rightly said on Tuesday as the legend breathed his last. The man who began his stint as a trainee at the age of 19 in a newly opened Timely Comic division of a pulp magazine, eventually built an empire that now we know as Marvel. 

Marvel comics soared in the 1960s and eventually became a comic giant. Stan Lee along with frequent collaborators created some of the most iconic superheroes of all time. A lot have now been adapted on the big screen, some remain untouched. Here's a look at some of the superheroes that Lee, the legend, created. 

Stan Lee's first co-creation was superhero Destroyer for Mystic Comics in 1941.
