In pics: From 'Masaan' to 'Mehandi Circus', actress Shweta Tripathi innovates with every role

Paving her own path in the world of entertainment is the young Shweta Tripathi Sharma, who has impressed her viewers every single time she has taken on a role.

Never limiting herself to one kind of role, she chooses to experiment with every project and broaden her horizons in terms of looks, characteristics, research, and persona. 

Here is a brief sneak peek into Shweta's versatility in some of the roles she has taken on.

 

Laakhon Mein Ek

'Laakhon Mein Ek' is a web series that released on April 12th, in which Shweta was seen essaying the role of a doctor.

The first season was critically acclaimed by reviewers and Shweta was recognised for her realistic portrayal. Although it was her first ever intense role, she delivered it impressively.

Mehandi Circus

Marking her Tamil debut with 'Mehandi Circus' where Shweta didn’t know or understand the language, she put in immense hard work to localize her character.

She even went to the extent of watching many Tamil films to understand the nuances of the local language.

Gone Kesh

In 'Gone Kesh', Shweta portrayed the character of a girl who suffered from Alopecia (sudden hair loss that starts with one or more circular bald patches that may overlap).

To get into the skin of her character, Shweta spent time with patients to have a conversation and play her part in the best possible way.

Mirzapur

In the much acclaimed web series, 'Mirzapur'- Shweta played a bold character who was headstrong, mysterious and self-aware. 

She proved her mettle by portraying a layered character with absolute finesse.

Haraamkhor

In the film, 'Haramkhor', Shweta portrayed the role of a 14 year-old girl who fell in love with her teacher who was already married.

This was supposed to be her debut film, however, it released after 'Masaan'.

Masaan

Shweta Tripathi rose to fame after the success of Masaan. She portrayed the role of an upper-caste girl who fell in love Vicky Kaushal’s Dalit character. 

She portrayed a simple girl in an intense love story.
