Here is a list of world's top-10 most valuable startups

Entrepreneurs from all across the globe seek to develop, and validate a scalable economic model. US companies now make up 60 percent of the top-10 startups, the remaining being Chinese or Indian.

Here is a list of the world's most valuable startups:

According to CB insights, Chinese ai company Bytedance, the parent company of TikTok, is the highest-valued startup, currently a private, up-and-coming company, in the world. 

The venture which is valued at $140 billion is running content platform Toutiao in China, which uses machine learning to tailor a newsfeed for each individual viewer out of traditional and new media sources.

Earlier this summer, the US government announced it was considering banning Chinese social media apps, including the highly popular app TikTok.

The second highest-valued startup according to CB insights is also from China's ride-hailing service Didi valued at $56 billion.

SpaceX

Elon Musk's space company SpaceX took third place in the list of the most valuable startups of the world, valued at $46 billion as of September 2020.

Stripe

Stripe, an American financial services and software company is worth $36 billion and is the fourth most valuable startup of the world.

It primarily offers payment processing software and application programming interfaces for e-commerce websites and mobile applications.

Palantir technologies

Palantir technologies is a private American software company that specializes in big data analytics. It is worth $20 billion and is the fifth most valuable startup in the world.

Airbnb

Airbnb is an American vacation rental online marketplace company.

It is worth $18 billion and is the sixth most valuable startup in the world.

Kuaishou

Kuaishou is a Chinese video-sharing mobile app developed by Beijing Kuaishou Technology Co., Ltd, with a particularly strong user base among users outside of China's Tier 1 cities.

It is worth $18 billion and is the world's seventh most valuable startup of the world.

Epic Games, Inc. is an American video game and software developer worth $17.3 billion. It is the world's eight most valuable startup.

One97 Communications is India's leading mobile-internet company. Driven by great consumer experience, it offers digital goods & services to mobile consumers under Paytm brand. It is worth $16 billion and is the world's ninth most valuable startup in the world.

It is worth $16 billion and is the tenth most valuable startup company in the world.
