The GDP of Gujarat has grown by more than 1300 times in 56 years of its formation.

On an average where the people of Gujarat had an annual income of Rs. 339 in 1960, it has grown to Rs. 1.38 lakhs in 2016

Development of Infrastructure

In terms of infrastructure, Gujarat has shown rapid grown since 1960, when it was recognised as a separate State.

The installed capacity of electricity in the state has multiplied around 100 times while more than 3 lakh vehicles have been added every year in the State.
