The 78th edition of Venice Film Festival wrapped up and this year was double the fun: from Bennifer's red carpet romance to women emerging as the festival's big winners, we look back at some of the highlights of the film extravaganza that caught the world's eyes and captured their hearts.

'Red hot' red carpet moments

The Venice Film Festival opened in style on September 1 and many stars graced the Lido's red carpet with their spectacular sartorial sense.

'Dune' star Zendaya stole the show with her magnificent look, wearing a custom-made leather Balmain gown--but her show-stopping necklace was the winner after all.

Likewise, 'Fifty Shades of Grey' actor Dakota Johnson 'wowed' in a plunging silver gown that featured glitzy tassels over the sheer skirt.

Bennifer, as the couple is lovingly called, walked the red carpet together at Venice Film Festival

The return to the red carpet was this year's power couple Bennifer! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made their red carpet debut at the Venice Film Festival this year.

The loved-up couple were all smiles while looking their stunning selves, together.

Audrey Diwan poses with her Golden Lion Award

The Venice Film Festival 2021 gave its top honour, Golden Lion for Best Film, to Audrey Diwan's take on abortion, 'Happening'.

"I feel heard tonight!" Diwan exclaimed as she accepted her award.

The film is an adaptation of a novel by the same name by Annie Ernaux. It chronicles the life of a college student in 60s France who takes her pregnancy as a hurdle to her freedom. With no legally accepted options to opt for, the girl tries to get an abortion through illegal means.

Jamie Lee Curtis' Lifetime Achievement honour

Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis was honoured with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award at the Venice International Film Festival 2021. The 62-year-old said in an exclusive interview with THR, “It seems weird to think of myself being old enough and experienced enough to war- rant a lifetime of achievement. I’m just beginning my work."

Curtis is an American actress with an acting career spanning over four decades. She has won multiple awards, including a BAFTA and a Golden Globe.

Jessica Chastain - Oscar Isaac viral red carpet moment

Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac’s ‘steamy’ red carpet moment was the most viral thing that has come out of the film festival's red carpet this year, sending fans in a tizzy. Netizens loved the jaw-dropping chemistry in the slow-mo video in which Oscar could be seen kissing Jessica's arm as she later held his face in her hands.
