Chhapaak, Prithviraj, Laxmmi Bomb: From Eid to Christmas, 2020 is a year full of box office clashes

The upcoming year 2020, you will see a big clash of movies, and a face-off between the B-Town stars. Salman Khan's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' is headed for a clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb'. Then in 2020, Deepika Padukone’s 'Chhapaak' is will clash with Ajay Devgn’s 'Tanhaji'. Kangana Ranaut’s 'Panga' with Varun Dhawan’s 'Street Dancer 3D' and 'Dhaakad' with Akshay Kumar 'Prithviraj'. So which of these films will create magic at the box office?

 

'Chhapaak'  starring Deepika Padukone in the lead is the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. It also stars Vikrant Massey. Meghna Gulzar has directed the film, the movie is set to release on 10 January 2020.

Ajay Devgn’s 'Tanhaji', based on Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare military leader in the army of Chatrapati Shivaji, directed by Om Raut and is set to release on 10 January 2020 as well. 

'Street Dancer 3D' is the third film in 'ABCD' franchise and reunites Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor again. Directed by Remo D'Souza, the dance flick will hit the big screens on 24 January 2020.

Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s sports drama  'Panga' is the story of a kabbadi player and stars Kangana Ranaut and Richa Chadha lead roles. The movie is set to release on 24 January 2020.

February will be clashing month at the box office. 'Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship', 'Shikara - A Love Letter From Kashmir', 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' are set to release on 21 Feb 2020. 

Bhanu Pratap Singh's upcoming horror thriller 'Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship,' based on a true incident that took place in Mumbai, stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kriti Kharbanda. 

'Shikara - A Love Letter From Kashmir' will narrate the story of the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Srinagar. The film is written and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. 

Hitesh Kewalya's 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' based on homosexuality stars Ayushmann Khuranna and Jitendra Kumar in lead roles. The movie is a sequel of 2017 hit  'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan'.

 

2020 Valentine's Day will also see three films clashing at the box office. 'Love Aaj Kal 2', 'Malang' will hit the big screen on February 14.

'Love Aaj Kal 2' second film in the romantic comedy franchise 'Love Aaj Kal' stars Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan in the lead roles. The film is being helmed by Imtiaz Ali. 

Mohit Suri's romantic thriller 'Malang' stars  Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Khemu in lead roles. 

 

Eid 2020 will see a big clash between Megastar's Akshay Kumar's ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ and Salman Khan's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'. 

Comedy horror ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ directed by Raghava Lawrence is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film 'Muni 2: Kanchanaa'. Akshay Kumar is playing a transgender for the first time, the movie also stars Kiara Advani. 

Salman Khan's next action film, 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' directed by Prabhu Deva will see Khan pairing up with Disha Patani for the first time.  

'Satyameva Jayate 2' directed by Milap Zaveri is based on the fight against injustice starring John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in leading roles. It is a sequel to the 2018 successful film 'Satyameva Jayate', the movie is set to hit the big screen on October 2, 2020.

Shoojit Sircar's directorial 'Sardar Udham Singh' is a biopic on Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role,and it will hit the screens on October 2, 2020. 

Chandra Prakash Dwivdei directs Akshay Kumar Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt in 'Prithviraj'- a biopic based on Prithviraj Chauhan. The movie is set to release on Diwali 2020. 

Kangana Ranaut is all set to come on Diwali 2020 with her next film 'Dhaakad'. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film also stars Manoj Tiwari and Mimoh Chakraborty.

 

 

Aamir Khan's 'Lal Singh Chaddha', is a remake of the 1994 film 'Forrest Gump'. The film is being directed by Advait Chandan and co-stars Kareena Kapoor. The movie is set to come out on Christmas 2020.

'Bachchan Pandey' is the remake of the 2014 film 'Veeram'. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film stars Akshay Kumar and Varsha Bollamma in lead roles. The film is set to hit the box office in Christmas 2020.
