From bans to easy access: Abortion laws around the world
Argentina set to become the first major Latin American country to legalise abortion. Its president, Alberto Fernández has said that he intends to send a legal abortion bill to congress in the next 10 days.
Let's take a look at the countries where abortion is legal:
Italy
Abortion became legal in Italy in May 1978, when Italian women were allowed to terminate a pregnancy on request during the first 90 days.
However, doctors who identify as "conscientious objectors," can refuse from aborting a child in the country.

Spain Parliament
It is legal in the country with some restrictions.
Abortion during the first trimester is legal upon request.
However, abortion during the second trimester is legal only for serious risk to the health of the woman or fetal defects.

Canada courthouse
It is legal at all stages of pregnancy and funded partially by the Canada Health Act.
It is the only nation with absolutely no specific legal restrictions on abortion.

Turkey
It is legal in the country until the 10th month of conception.
Abortion in Turkey was legalised in 1983 to reduce the high number of women dying from unsafe, self-induced terminations.

It is legal on demand up to 12 weeks after conception.
Abortions at later stages of pregnancy are allowed if two physicians certify that the abortion will be done to prevent grave permanent injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman.

Texas
Abortion is legal in Texas. However, its law requires all women seeking an abortion to have at least 2 visits to the abortion facility.
