Films you can finally watch in theatres in India this year

Indian government has finally approved the reopening of theatres from October 15. Since the COVID lockdown, many major movies have taken the OTT route, while some choose to stick with the theatres. 

From Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' to Akshay Kumar awaited films 'Laxxmi Bomb', 'Sooryavanshi': Here is a list of movies you can finally watch in India in theatres. 

Laxxmi Bomb

Akshay Kumar starrer 'Laxxmi Bomb' will release in both theatres and OTT platform Disney+Hotstar as well. The horror-comedy 'Laxmmi Bomb' will premiere on November 9, on the occasion of Diwali. The film is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster 'Muni 2: Kanchana'.

Tenet

Christopher Nolen's most awaited movie 'Tenet' which has been released in few parts of the world, is now gearing up for its India release. The movie which was slated to release in August 2020 has been pushed several times due to pandemic. The movie stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki and Dimple Kapadia.

Wonder Woman 1984

Warner Bros. 'Wonder Woman 1984', has pushed back to Christmas. Gal Gadot starrer movie was expected to release on October 2, but will now release on December 25, 2020.

Ranveer Singh's much-awaited movie '83' will hit the theatres in the Christmas 2020. The Kapil Dev biopic was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres in April.

Indoo Ki Jawani

Kiara Advani starrer 'Indoo Ki Jawaani' might be the first film to release in India post-Lockdown, as per the reports. The release dates have not been announced yet.

Death on the Nile

Gal Gadot starrer 'Death on the Nile' is scheduled for an October 23 release in the US and other regions of the world. As theatres open up in India, the filmmakers might think to release the movie in the giant market.
