Daunting COVID-19 records that US will never forget

A total of 14,845,241 people around the world have been diagnosed with COVID-19, while more than 8,898,749 have recovered and 612,830 have died so far, according to the available data.

With US being the worst-hit, here are some daunting COVID-19 records that it will never forget:

Coronavirus in USA

Country-wise, the US remains the most affected. It recorded over 62,000 cases in a day to take its tally to 3,961,429 cases, including 143,826 deaths.

Los Angeles reported highest number of hospitalizations in a day. Half of 2,848 new cases were reported Sunday were under 41 year old, as per officials.

Coronavirus in US

According to Johns Hopkin, Georgia and North Carolina reported a 'record' single-day case increase on Saturday. Georgia reported 4,688 new cases , whereas, North Carolina recorded 2,522 new cases.

Arizona reported its highest death count since the coronavirus pandemic on Saturday. The state recorded 147 deaths, according to the COVID tracking project and Jonhs Hopkins.

Florida

Florida has 49 hospitals with no ICU beds available since Sunday, according to state data. Florida has broken its single-day record in recent weeks.
