Coronavirus second wave hits countries as lockdown ends

As some countries reopened their economy amid a sharp fall of coronavirus infections, some countries saw return of the virus. 

While some of them are experiencing a second wave of the virus, not every rise in infection can be termed as second wave. In order to label it as second wave, the virus should have been brought under control and cases fallen substantially.

Here are few countries who are facing a second wave, and others that fear a second wave.

The UK allowed shops and officer to reopen few weeks back to save its falling economy. However, the reopening of he economy, coupled with the protests happening in the country, some experts fear a second wave of coronavirus in the country. These fears further aggravated as the UK government decided to scrap the social distancing rule, even after facing criticism from the health experts.

Coronavirus in Iran

While Iran, in the start, was not able to contain the spread of the virus, the country opened up its economy to for the public as the cases took a dip. However, after reopening of the economy and the country assumingitself to be almost virus free, Iran recorded an increase of almost 50% in new infections. This raised fears of a possible second wave.
