Copenhagen surpasses Tokyo and Singapore to be crowned the safest city in the world

A ranking by the Economist Intelligence Unit has named Copenhagen the world's safest city for the first time. The Danish capital Copenhagen outpaced Tokyo and Singapore, which have traditionally been the index's leaders.

Since 2015, the EIU has conducted the survey every two years, evaluating 76 indicators across the sectors of digital, health, infrastructure, environment, and personal security.

Let's take a look at the winners:
