The year 2016 has nearly ended and the Indian automotive industry has seen close to 50 new launches and upgrades during the year, across the segment. Out of the all, some were mass segment cars and some were performance-oriented models.

Elantra's facelift was long overdue, but Elantra's new model scores over the earlier facelift of its peers in designing, technology specs and comfort. With Elantra Hyundai is being bold in a market which has long stopped being buyers' favourite. Still, with attractive unique design and all-aggressive looks, a City bound customer won't mind spending 4-5 lakh extra for Elantra.

The Ford Mustang right-hand drive was long due for India and the carmaker introduced the iconic muscle car in India at a starting price of Rs 65 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi this year. The Ford Mustang is sold through the CBU route and is the only muscle car available in the country.
Powering the Mustang is Ford's naturally aspirated 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine that generates 395 hp of power and 515 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. In order to enhance the driving experience, the four-seater muscle car is equipped with an advanced braking system that distributes brake force between front and rear wheels and prevents the wheels from locking.
