From 'Black Panther' to 'A Star is Born', this year's Oscar contenders for Best Original Song make for a great soundtrack.

The Best Original Song category also boasts, 'The Place Where Lost Things Go', which Emily Blunt performed in Mary Poppins Returns, and 'When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings,' which Tim Blake Nelson and Willie Watson performed in the Coen Brothers 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs'.

While you must have heard the songs nominated, here's a look at the talented singers who have been creating awesome music for us, since long. All the Best Original Song and the artists behind the soundtrack:

All The Stars

The lead single and breakout track from the 'Black Panther' soundtrack boasts TDE cohorts Kendrick Lamar and SZA combining over a beat by Soundwave and Al Shux.

Kendrick Lamar served as the executive producer on the soundtrack album for the hit superhero film.

The California born rapper Kendrick Lamar is regarded as one of the most skilful and successful hip hop artists of his generation with various media outlets branding him the 'new king of hip hop'.

He began to gain recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, 'Overly Dedicated'.

He has received many accolades during the course of his career.

He received a total of seven nominations at the 56th Grammy Awards in 2014, including Album of the Year for 'Good Kid'.

The rapper appeared for the first time on the Time '100 lists of most influential people' in 2016.

Along with Lamar, the American singer SZA (Solana Imani Rowe), featured on the nominated track 'All the Stars'.

The song peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, and this made SZA's second top 10 hit on the chart, after Maroon 5, 'What Lovers Do' which peaked at number 9 on the chart.

The Best Original Song nomination marks the first for both Lamar and SZA.

I'll Fight

A generic pop anthem that's only enlivened by Jennifer Hudson's brilliant vocals, 'I'll Fight' from the film 'RGB' is the next in the list that managed to score a nomination in Oscars this year.

Jennifer Kate Hudson is an American singer and actress who rose to fame in 2004 as a finalist on the third season of American Idol, placing the seventh position.

Her film debut as Effie White in 'Dreamgirls' (2006), made her win an  Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress.

The Place Where Lost Things Go

Emily Blunt's new song 'The Place Where Lost Things Go' from 'Mary Poppins Returns' is a gentle, reassuring lullaby.

She plays the titular magical nanny, discipline, giving life lessons, and singing the entire way through.

It comes at a particularly poignant moment in the film, as Mary Poppins sings a lullaby to the Banks children, who are grieving their late mother.

The song is a sweet but mournful ballad.

Emily is an English- American actress who is a recipient of many awards including a Golden Globe award and a Screen Actors Guild award.

Shallow

'The Star is Born' duet has already taken home the Golden Globe for best song, and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have been ready to take it to the Oscars.

The song 'Shallow' is played in the movie when she was invited up during a concert by Jackson Maine(Cooper) and performs the duet that she wrote. Clips of it go viral, catalyzing her rise to stardom.

The song reached No.5 in the United States and topped charts in England and Australia.

Not only is the song a sublime vehicle for Gaga's voice (and the personality she's always poured into it), it somehow plays even better in its proper, as Bradley Cooper uses it as both script and soundtrack for one of the most exciting scenes of the year.

Gaga has won six Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, thirteen MTV Video Music Awards, several Guinness World Records.

'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs' made it into the category with 'When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings' sung by the titular character, played by Tim Blake Nelson in the first of the film's six segments.

Tim Blake Nelson as Buster Scruggs alongside Willie Watson as 'The Kid', collaborated the original song for the project.

It's an old-fashioned country folk song replete with twangy harmonies, mournfully blaring harmonica, and lots of lyrics about cowboys.

The song written by David Rawlings and Gillian Weltch is performed by Nelson and singer-songwriter Willie Watson, who plays the man-in-black cowboy who takes down the Scruggs.

Scruggs, an outlaw ballader, sings gleefully while outshooting his rivals and commemorating their downfalls until he sings his final song as a newly minted angel with wings.
