India crushed arch-rivals Pakistan by 95 runs in a low-scoring encounter to record their third successive victory in the ICC Women's World Cup.

Mithali Raj, the current captain of the Indian women's cricket team is an all-rounder. The first woman player to score seven consecutive 50s in ODIs and the second to surpass the mark of 5,500 runs, she has definitely come a long way.
Mithali was selected at the age of 17 to be a part of the Indian cricket team and made her ODI debut in 1999 against South Africa.
Mithali was a Bharatnatyam dancer earlier. The Indian captain won the Arjuna award in 2013 and has received the Padma Shri in 2015.

Jhulan Goswami
ICC women?s cricketer of the Year in 2007, Jhulan was the world's leading wicket-taker in the World Cup.
She won the Arjuna award in 2010 and Padma Shri in 2012.
Jhulan's parents wanted her to focus on her studies but she broke all boundaries and went to Kolkata to pursue her dreams.

Ekta Bisht: First cricketer from Uttarakhand
The first women cricketer from Uttarakhand, Ekta Bisht took the ball and banished Pakistan (quite literally) in the finals. Ekta's five-wicket haul against Pakistan on Sunday made her the fifth-highest wicket-taker for India in ODIs.
The outstanding performance got her the 'player of the match' award.
"The plan was to pile on dot balls because we were confident of the target we set," she said after the match.

Shikha Pandey is the first national women cricket player from Goa.
She has also done Bachelor in Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics from Goa?s premier Goa College of Engineering. She made her debut in women senior state side representing Goa in 2007-08.

25-year-old Poonam made her ODI debut in 2013 against Bangladesh. Poonam belongs to Uttar Pradesh, she followed her dream and started playing street cricket.
