Taylor Swift is AMAs queen
Taylor Swift ruled the musical night by winning the nights biggest honour- Artist of the Year. It was her third consecutive artist of the year win. However, the pop queen had to skip the event. "The reason I'm not there tonight is I'm re-recording all of my old music in the studio where we originally recorded it," explained Swift, who also took home the awards for Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist and Favorite Music Video for 'Cardigan'.

Justin and Shawn's 'Monster' Performance
Justin Beiber and Shawn Mendes gave an incredible live performance on there recently released song, 'Monster'. At the awards night, Justin kick-started the performance with his heartbreaking song, 'Lonely'. The two pop stars got a huge response online by their fans.

The Weeknd performance
The Weeknd’s battered face is something we all are used to now, but at AMA's he took his visual presentation to the next level. He made an appearance to perform 'In Your Eyes' and 'Save Your Tears' from his latest album 'After Hours'. He performed on an empty bridge that was surrounded by fireworks.

Becky G makes history
This year, American Music Awards expanded their Latin music category. Becky G had the honour to become the first-ever recipient of the AMA for Favorite Female Artist - Latin.

;Jlo and Maluma set stage on fire
Jennifer Lopez and Maluma set the stage on fire with their performance at the American Music Awards. The pair raised the temperatures with their performances on 'Pa' Ti' and 'Lonely'. Lopez began the performance in a black sheer ensemble, flaunting her curves and her dance moves, later she was joined by Maluma, and the chemistry between them was incredible.

BTS high note performance
At the musical night, BTS took home two AMAs- for Favorite Social Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group. The Korean boys also delivered the dreamy and energetic performance on their mega-hit 'Dynamite'.
