Celebrity post something and then delete it if they are trolled online, but a screengrab can last forever.

Over the years, celebrities and their social media mishap always attract netizens' attention -- with people loving it, sharing it and then creating meme material for us.

As Alia Bhatt posts the wrong image of the Tokyo Olympics featuring Sushil Kumar (Olympic medalist, who is incarcerated on charges of kidnap and murder), here we take a look back at other celebrities social media goof-ups.

Alia Bhatt, Alia Bhatt wrong Olympics image tweet

Alia Bhatt goofed up yet again. As Tokyo Olympics kickstarted, like many celebrities, Alia too shared photos to support our athletes, but unfortunately posted the wrong picture. Indian weightlifter, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, won the first medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics as she bagged silver after lifting 202kg in Weightlifting Women's 49kg category. Congratulating her, Tisca Chopra took to her Twitter account to wish Chanu on her big win but she attached the photograph of Indonesian weightlifter Aisah Windy Cantika instead of Chanu’s. And in no time, people started to troll her for this glaring oversight.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted fake image

Amitabh Bachchan's social media posts are always on the netizens radar. Bachchan, not intentionally, always gets trapped in the trolling game for his social media activities.

Last year, in 2020, Bachchan caused quite a stir on social media with the satellite image. After the 9 pm, 9 minutes call by PM Modi, the superstar shared a satellite photo of India during the time. The photo turned out to be fake with people trolling the star.

Milind Soman made Priya Malik Olympics gold winner

Milind Soman joined the long list of celebrities goof-up with the Olympics and the game players. Soman got trolled after tweeting a congratulatory message to Indian wrestler Priya Malik, assuming she had won gold at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. However, in reality, Malik actually had bagged a gold medal but not in the Olympics but at the World Cadet Wrestling Championship 2021 in Hungary.

Soman apologised in a separate tweet later.

Kim Kardashian

In 2015, Kim Kardashian faced backlash after she misspelt designer Giorgio Armani’s name. Kim, who tweeted about why Armani is discontinuing her favourite foundation.

Taking to Twitter, she wrote, ''Why did Georgio Armani discontinue my favourite foundation??? I’m on my last bottle & everyone I know uses this!!! Please make it again!” she tweeted. Armani camp later replied and schooled her: “ Dear Kim – let us know which one you need and we’ll send it to you. And Mr Armani’s first name is Giorgio”.

Shilpa Shetty confuses 'Republic' with 'Freedom'

On India's Republic Day earlier this year, Shilpa Shetty was brutally trolled after she confused the word 'gantantra' (republic) with 'swatantra' (freedom), catching the irk of the trolls. However, she was quick to correct her words, but the trolls showed no mercy calling out the ignorance of the actor.
