A screen that tastes good developed in Japan

In an interesting development, a Japanese professor has developed a TV screen that tastes good. Professor Homei Miyashita from Japan's Meiji University said that this invention may enhance the way people interact with outside world in this era of the pandemic.

This device is being called Taste The TV (TTTV). It is being touted as a next step towards 'multi-sensory' viewing experience.
 

The device uses a carousel of 10 flavour canisters
 

It took Professor Homei Miyashita a year to develop prototype of the screen with a team of 30 of his students. The professor (pictured above) says that a commercial version of this screen can be made in under USD 1000.

This is how the canister of Taste the TV (TTTV), looks like. Professor Miyashita says such devices will be helpful for students taking cooking classes via distance education mode.
