On March 15, the YSR Congress Party MP informed the Lok Sabha Secretary-General in a letter that his party would be moving a motion on 'No-Confidence in the Council of Ministers' in the lower of Parliament the following day.

The Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP had also moved a no-confidence motion against the NDA in the Lok Sabha.

The no-confidence motions are the first in the nearly four-year rule of the BJP-led NDA alliance.

On March 16, the Lower House could not take up notices for no-confidence motion against the NDA government moved by Andhra Pradesh parties following adjournment due to protests by the Opposition over various issues.
