Adityanath was speaking in Rajasthan at an election rally. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said Saturday that "work (on the Ram temple) will start very soon".

"Light a diya for Lord Ram this time, work there will start very soon. We have to take this up after Diwali," ANI quoted Adityanath as saying. 

Adityanath was speaking at an election rally in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The state will go to the polls on December 7.

ANI also quoted Union Minister Uma Bharti as saying "the construction of Ram temple is my dream and whatever initiative is required, from my end I am ready for it. 

"I have actively participated in Ram Janambhoomi Andolan and hearing of a case is also underway in connection with it. And I am proud of it," Bharti said. 

"And I am proud of it," she added.

The 2010 Allahabad High Court order that divided the disputed land into three parts — one for Ram Lalla, one for the Nirmohi Akhara, and one for the original Muslim litigant

The RSS meanwhile recently warned that Hindus may once again begin a 1992-like mass agitation for a Ram temple in Ayodhya.

And earlier, BJP MP and RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha had said they would soon introduce an ordinance in Parliament seeking construction of the Ram Temple.

"Many other issues in the country have been resolved by court proceedings at night. The court was set up at night for a terrorist. When the court has time for terrorists, then why not Lord Rama, " Giriraj Singh said.
