Won't support Congress or AIMIM, other options are open: Telangana BJP chief

Telangana BJP Chief, K Laxman, on Sunday hinted at the possibility of an alliance in the state noting that in the absence of a clear mandate the party will be a part of the government. 

"We’ll not support Congress or AIMIM, but other options are open. The decision will be taken in consultation with our high command," he added. 

Meanwhile, Telangana Rashtra Samiti spokesperson Bhanu Prasad said that the party doesn't need an alliance.

"We don’t need any alliance, we will form the Government on our own. We are confident that we will win enough seats," he added. 

The final voter turnout in Friday's Assembly polls in Telangana was recorded at 73.20 per cent.

Polling concluded in the poll-bound state on Friday evening. According to reports, the interim voter turnout recorded in Telangana on Friday was reported at around 67 per cent. 

Vote was taken for all the 119 seats of Telangana assembly for the first time after the division of Andhra Pradesh and creation of India's youngest state in 2014.

Final results for both the states will be out after the counting of votes concludes on December 11.
