Without Nepal, India's history is incomplete: PM Modi at Janakpur

PM Modi arrived at Janakpur, Nepal earlier today on a two-day visit. He travelled to Janaki temple to offer prayers and addressed the country from Janakpur a short while ago.
The Prime Minister opened his address in Nepalese dialect and went on to express happiness over visiting the Himalayan nation. He stated that he wanted to visit Janakpur for long.
Clad in traditional Mathili kurta gifted by Nepalese Prime Minister Oli, PM Modi shared the many similarities shared by India and Nepal.

"India and Nepal have helped each other in times of need. Nepal prominently features in India's neighbour first policy. We assure that we will continue to stand with Nepal," Modi stated.

The Prime Minister said that India will make efforts to forge better connectivity with Nepal and boost cooperation in the field of science and technology.

"We will give Nepal greater access to Indian ports," the Prime Minister said.

"The Ramayan circuit will boost cultural ties between both the countries," PM Modi noted.
"India-Nepal ties are historic. We are similar in many ways; our strength, desires, aspirations are all same. Without Nepal India's faith, history is incomplete," Modi noted.

The Prime Minister alluded to a couplet from Ramayana stating that the friendship between both the countries is documented in the holy scripture.

He shared that Indo-Nepalese friendship is very special and the ties date back to Tretayuga, vedic times.
"This is the land of mother Janki without which Ayodhya is incomplete," said PM Modi.
This is Indian prime minister's third visit to the Himalayan kingdom since he came to power in 2014.
PM Modi and Nepalese PM Oli flagged off the Janakpur-Ayodhya bus service earlier today.

The two countries seek to reset India-Nepal ties. PM Modi will aim at pushing for development projects between both the nations.
