The suspended chief executive of Cambridge Analytica said in a secretly recorded video broadcast on Tuesday that his UK-based political consultancy’s online campaign played a decisive role in US President Donald Trump’s 2016 election victory. 

Resignations in the Congress have begun ahead of party President Rahul Gandhi's announcement of his new team. 

Actor-politician Raj Babbar has quit as chief of the party's UP unit. 

News reports added that Gujarat Congress chief Bharatsinh Solanki is also believed to have tendered his resignation to the party's central leadership. The reports added that a number of further resignations are expected.
