The Samajwadi Party's Nagendra Pratap Singh Patel won the Phulpur Lok Sabha bypoll by 59,613 votes Wednesday evening. The BJP came in second. 

In the Gorakhpur bypoll meanwhile, the SP's Praveen Kumar Nishad won by 21,881 votes

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on  Wednesday won the Jehanabad assembly seat bypoll. 

Meanwhile, BJP's Rinky Rani Pandey has won the Bhabhua Assembly seat in Bihar. 

The result of the Araria Lok Sabha constituency is also out, RJD's Sarfaraz Alam has won the Araria Lok Sabha seat.

The Supreme Court today rejected all interim pleas seeking to intervene as parties in the sensitive Babri masjid- Ram temple land dispute case.

The court, however, ordered revival of Swamy's disposed of writ petition in which he had sought enforcement of his fundamental right to worship at Ram temple on the disputed site in Ayodhya.
