Adityanath further added that if the people want to see Hyderabad change to Bhagyanagar, they should give BJP a chance.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party will rename Hyderabad to Bhagyanagar if the party is voted to power in Telangana. The comments came during Adityanath's rally in Telangana's Goshamahal constituency.

Adityanath further added that if the people want to see Hyderabad change to Bhagyanagar, they should give BJP a chance.

Earlier on Sunday, the UP CM lashed out at AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, stating that if the saffron party comes to power, it will have Owaisi flee Telangana.

"If BJP comes to power, I assure you Owaisi will have to flee from Telangana the same way Nizam was forced to flee from Hyderabad," Adityanath said in Tandur, Vikarabad.

Owaisi reacted to Adityanath's remark asking if speaking against the BJP and PM Modi will require him to leave the country.

"Ye mulk aapka hai, mera nahi hai? Kya BJP ke khilaaf bolna, Modi ke khilaaf bolna, uski poliices ko criticise karna, RSS ke khilaaf bolna, Yogi par bolna, to kya mulk se bhaga denge?" he noted.

Telangana is set to go to polls on December 7, votes will be counted on December 11.
