Social activist Anna Hazare on Monday said that he will make sure that anyone joining his movement will not become a part of a political party or contest elections again.

"Before joining me, a person has to give an affidavit saying he/she will not join any political party or fight elections," he said to reporters here.

Hazare said this when he was asked if a leader like Arvind Kejriwal will come out of his movement again, Anna assured this wouldn't happen, as he is 'more aware' now.

"I was not very alert then. But now, I will make sure that it will never happen again," he said.

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Kejriwal had earlier had close ties with Hazare when he joined him for the anti-corruption movement in 2011. However, he soon parted ways and formed his own party.

Strongly condemning the Delhi Chief Minister for violating laws and the Constitution, Hazare said he will never be in favour of Kejriwal's actions. The Shunglu committee report showed Kejriwal's government for bypassing law, nepotism and financial irregularities among others, reports said.

Earlier in December, Anna announced that he would start a "peaceful protest" from March 23, 2018, for bringing an improvement in the conditions of farmers in the nation.

"We will start a peaceful protest from March 23 next year in Delhi. I have toured nine states till now and urged everyone to join me," he told ANI.

He further said the protest would be peaceful and there would be no ounce of violence.
