Newly-elected Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb's statements are getting stranger by the minute.

Before that he had said Diana Hayden, who was crowned Miss World in 1997, did not represent Indian women. But that Aishwarya Rai did.

Deb has been summoned to Delhi tomorrow by Prime Minister Narendra Modi because of his many strange utterings. BJP President Amit Shah will also be present.

Deb is expected to get an earful.

But that has not stopped him for a second.

On Tuesday, Deb offered up yet another gem.

This time, he used the analogy of a farmer bringing a vegetable to the market.

At 8 am, said Deb, the vegetable is okay. But so many people poke their nails into it, he then added, that by 9 am it is not fit to eat.

Then, hittting a much more strident note, he added that nothing of the sort will be allowed to happen with his government.

And that anyone "fingering" his government should have their nails chopped off.

"Mere sarkaar mein aisa nahin hona chahiye ki koi bhi usme ungli maar de, nakhoon laga de. Jinhone nakhoon lagaya, uska nakhoon kaat lena chahiye," said Deb.

Deb's last blooper had come as recently as Sunday when he said Tripura's youth should rear cows or open paan shops instead of running after government jobs and wasting their time.
