Why is Mamata protecting infiltrators? We'll throw TMC out of Bengal: Amit Shah
Story highlights
BJP President Amit Shah on Saturday lashed out at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during his rally in Kolkata. Shah accused Banerjee of speaking against the NRC draft and "protecting Bangladeshi infiltrators".
"Why is she protecting Bangladeshi infiltrators? NRC is a process against illegal immigrants, shouldn't they be thrown out of the country?" Shah exclaimed.
The BJP President added that the BJP will go to every district of Bengal to throw out Trinamool Congress.

"We want to ask Mamata Banerjee why is she protecting Bangladeshi infiltrators? Rahul Gandhi is also not clarifying his stand on the issue. This is because of Congress' vote-bank politics," the BJP President added.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been targetting the Central government after the final draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) left out as many as 40 lakh people.
Banerjee called the NRC issue BJP's vote-bank politics. She enquired about the fate of the 40 lakh people who have been excluded from the list stating that "bloodbath" will take place if the NRC issue is not resolved.
Union Minister Rajnath Singh reacted stating that the NRC issue should not be politicised as the government has no role in its proceedings which are actually vested with the Supreme Court.
