Diamantaire Nirav Modi, who figures at the centre of the Rs 11,400 crore mega PNB scam, has finally replied to the CBI's mail saying that he is unable to join the investigations owing to business abroad. He also denied any wrongdoing.

The CBI had written to Nirav Modi on his official email address asking him to join the investigations.

According to reports, the CBI wrote to Nirav Modi again asking him to contact the High Commission of the concerned country. The CBI also stated that it will arrange for his travel back to India.

The CBI has called out to Nirav Modi directing him to join the investigations next week.

Meanwhile, the Investigation bureau added that it did not know Modi's whereabouts. The agency earlier said he left India in January before the $2 billion fraud, which also involves a firm controlled by his uncle Mehul Choksi, came to light.
