Story highlights

Intelligence sources say?Kaskar used to threaten builders and jewellers in Mumbai to extort money in the name of his brother?Dawood Ibrahim. ||In true Bollywood style, Kaskar used?to bluntly tell the Mumbai builders that if they didn't listen to him, he would be forced to tell Bhai(Dawood).

Iqbal Kaskar who was nabbed by Thane police is being interrogated by intelligence officers in order to glean information about the Mumbai underworld and his connection to his brother Dawood Ibrahim.

During interrogation with intelligence sleuths, Kaskar has apparently said that he is a small-time scrap dealer and his permanent source of income is only through a shop which he has rented out. However, sources believe he has possibly used the "scrap dealer theory" to confuse them.

Intelligence sources say Kaskar used to threaten builders and jewellers in Mumbai to extort money in the name of his brother Dawood Ibrahim.

In true Bollywood style, Kaskar used to bluntly tell the Mumbai builders that if they didn't listen to him, he would be forced to tell Bhai(Dawood).

His favourite line to threaten them apparently was "Bhai ki boli sun, nahi to goli  milegi "(if you don't listen to Dawood, you will get a bullet).

Intelligence agencies interrogating Kaskar say Dawood was unhappy with his brother's apparent drug addiction.

During interrogation, Kaskar is believed to have said a Dubai-based Pakistani woman used to collect extortion jewellery from the gang and would convert it into havala(illegal) money. Sources said that the woman referred to as GKG(gang ki girlfriend) started her operation in 2012.

Thane police are also investigating an upcoming Bollywood movie based on the underworld which they believe was being funded by gangsters in Dubai.

Iqbal Kaskar used to call people for meeting over his favourite meal "bheja fry". Sources said two corporates also attended Kaskar's "bheja fry".

Kaskar's troubles are set to increase as ten more complainants are ready to register FIR against him.
