The Food and Drug Administration raided three different places in Mumbai including Kandivali, Dahisar and busted places that were making ice cream without license.
According to reports, people were making ice cream illegally were using expired raw material, flavours and colours.
In Kandivali a company named 'Dipti Desert' was also raided from which, samples of cream and butterscotch has been taken to the lab.
Apart from this, 10 kg of cream cheese, which costs Rs 3750, 178 litres butterscotch ice cream, which is priced at Rs 48,950, has been seized.
According to the FDA department, there were violations regarding hygiene. The FDA also noticed Label contraventions.
Few pictures were also released which shows people working in extremely dirty conditions.
