Uttar Pradesh bypoll: Gorakhpur records 16.8% voting till 11 am
Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur registered 16.8 per cent vote while Phulpur recorded 12.2 per cent vote. The two parliamentary constituencies went to polls today morning amid tight security.

By-election for Bihar's Araria is also underway.
Until 12 pm 31.25% voter turnout was recorded in Araria Lok Sabha by-poll, 24.5% in Bhabua and 28.6% in Jehanabad assembly by-polls.
The elections were necessitated due to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya vacating their respective seats in Gorakhpur and Phulpur constituencies after they were elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.

The results for today's bypolls will be declared on March 14.
