In a big success for the security forces in Kashmir, two terrorists have been arrested in Naranag area of central Kashmir's Gandarbal district after an operation was launched on September 28, resulting in eliminating two terrorists.

Sources in the J&K police said that both the arrested were guides of the terrorists killed earlier in the encounter. "We have also recovered some arms and ammunition from them which includes grenades and AK-47 assault rifle magazines," said a source.

The duo is said to be the residents of Rajouri district in Jammu division. Earlier, the Indian army airdropped elite commandos in the forests of Gangbal as there was no access road. Security forces had also established a temporary base camp in the mountains to circle the hiding terrorists.

Two terrorists were killed when the first contact fire was established between the Indian army and terrorists. Sources had said that the terrorists in the area had infiltrated recently through Gurez sector of Bandipora in north Kashmir.
