2 crude bombs found buried in Mumbai Central railway station

The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) found two crude bombs buried one foot deep outside Mumbai Central Railway station on Wednesday.

The bombs were found during digging the underground tunnels for the ongoing work of Metro-III, which were later defused by Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and sent for forensic testing.

The staff of BCT Post with a dog squad reached the site and informed Nagpada Police about the matter.

Senior Police Inspector Nilesh Shevale along with his team and BDDS members of Maharashtra Police reached the site.

The police suspect that the bombs might be old as they were found buried deep in the ground.
