AIADMK leader T T V Dhinakaran sworn-in as a member of the Tamil Nadu Assembly today.

Dhinakaran won the recently conducted RK Nagar bypoll which was necessitated after Jayalalithaa's demise.

He succeeds former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa as a legislator of the city segment.

Dhinakaran contested as an independent candidate from the constituency and beat AIADMK's E Madhusudhanan by over 40,000 votes.

"5-6 people in the party (AIADMK) are working for selfish motives, I warn them, they should mend their ways otherwise what happened in RK Nagar will happen to them as well," the minister noted shortly after his swearing-in ceremony.
