Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday expressed happiness over the overwhelming response received from the people of Kerala after receiving aid.

According to reports, CM Singh reacted to a video that depicted flood-hit Keralites shouting slogans in favour of Punjab after receiving aid from the Punjab government. 

Singh pledged that his government will continue to extend support and provide all possible assistance to Kerala. 

"Touched by the overwhelming gratitude of the people of Kerala for our small contribution to #KeralaFloodsRelief. We in Punjab will continue to do our best to assist in their relief and rehabilitation," Punjab CM tweeted.

Singh later added that it was the duty of every Indian to come forward to join the relief efforts in Kerala.

Chief Minister Singh, last week, has announced an assistance worth Rs 10 crore to the Kerala government.
