Main accused in Mumbai blast underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's three of ten properties will be auctioned on November 14.

E-auctioning of the property took place on November 10 and authorities said that there has been an unexpected number of bids that they have received through the e-auctioning website and the usual manual process.

The successful bids will be announced tomorrow.

Hindu leader Swami Chakrapani, who previously successfully bid for a car belonging to Dawood Ibrahim and later burnt it said that he will acquire an eatery owned by the fugitive gangster at Bhendi Bazaar in Mumbai and build a public toilet there, news reports said.

"After acquiring Hotel Afroz in the bidding, I will build a plush toilet there for public use. This toilet will be elegant and open to all free of cost. By turning the gangster's property into a toilet, I want to send the message- see how terrorism ends!," Chakrapani was quoted as saying.

Properties that will be auctioned are Damarwala building near Bhendi Bazar where Dawood's younger brother, Iqbal Kaskar used to stay;  Shabnam Guest House on Mohammed Ali Road, a flat in Pearl Harbour building at Mazgaon.

After Dawood fled India, properties belonging to him and his associates were seized under the provisions of Smuggling and Foreign Exchange Manipulators (Forfeiture of Property) Act, also known as SAFEMA.

The authorities later decided to auction these properties in a phased manner. However, past auctions of the gangster's properties drew a cold response from bidders, apparently due to ''fear factor''.

Dawood Ibrahim is currently in Pakistan. His brother Iqbal Kaskar who was recently arrested in an extortion case has admitted to speaking to him four times in the last few years. Officials said Iqbal Kaskar had provided the addresses of four residences belonging to Dawood Ibrahim in Karachi.
