Addressing the IT professionals in Delhi, Modi said every effort, however big or small, must be valued

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that governments may have schemes and budgets but the success of any initiative lies in public involvement.

Addressing the IT professionals in Delhi, Modi said every effort, however big or small, must be valued.

''I'm connected through social media, however, I do not believe every information that I come across. I find the information I want on social media,'' Modi further said.

The prime minister also lauded the youngsters' effort in leveraging the power of technology.

India's youngsters are leveraging the power of technology wonderfully. They are using technology not only for themselves but also for the welfare of others which is a great sign, the PM said.

The symbol of the Swachh Bharat Mission is the specs of Bapu, the inspiration is Bapu and we are fulfilling Bapu's vision, said Modi referring to Gandhi's ideas on sanitation and hygiene which the father of the nation considered to be more important than political independence.
