Students assaulted in Kerala's Farook College for celebrating Holi

A group of teachers and non-teaching staff at the Farook College in Kozhikode trashed up some students who were celebrating Holi inside the campus.

They attacked the students using rods and pipes. It is reported that the argument regarding the celebration of Holi inside the campus led to the attack.

One of the students whose eyes were critically injured has been admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College. Three other students have also sustained injuries.

The students allege that the teachers got provoked as the students celebrated Holi by defying the ban on celebrating the festival on college premises.

The students allege that teachers and hostel employees circled and attacked them using pipes and sticks. 

The students say that they were first attacked in the hostel. The teachers and non-teaching staff assaulted them at the bus stop also, the students alleged.
