Sonia Gandhi rushed to Delhi from Shimla due to ill-health
Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was rushed back to Delhi from Shimla on Friday morning owing to ill-health.
Last night I received a call saying that she was not well. We were asked to send ambulance with a doctor to accompany her to Chandigarh. Sonia was first taken to Chandigarh from Shimla after she refused to get examined at the Indira Gandhi Medical College in Shimla.
The former Congress President was later brought to Delhi from Chandigarh on a special aircraft.
Sonia Gandhi was on a private visit to Shimla along with her daughter Priyanka Vadra.
They arrived in the city on Wednesday and stayed at a five-star luxury hotel, Wildflower Hall, near Charabra.
