Sonia Gandhi cancels visit to Rae Bareli

Former Congress chief and Rae Bareli MP Sonia Gandhi canceled her visit last moment after concerns over her health, reports said on Saturday. 

Gandhi, who had plans to go to her parliamentary constituency for a one-day visit after about two years, canceled last moment due to "unavoidable reasons," her representative K L Sharma said. 

Sharma had informed the representatives in Rae Bareli about the update on Friday night, District Congress President VK Shukla said.

"Gandhi's day-long visit has been canceled due to unavoidable reasons. We informed district officials about it late last night," her representative K L Sharma said. 

Gandhi was to inaugurate various schemes from MP's discretionary fund at Bhuemau guest house and meet party leaders there.
