Some places will be renamed after Atalji: Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday announced the renaming of a number of places in the state as a tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
According to reports, Naya Raipur city will be renamed to Atal Nagar.
"On the sad demise of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a motion of condolence has been passed to rename some places after him. Bilaspur University will be known as Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Narrow Gauge Line will be renamed to Atal Path," news agency quoted CM Raman Singh.

Central Park, which is being constructed beside the Collectorate, will be named to Atal Park while Rajnandgaon Medical College will also be renamed after Bharat Ratna Vajpayee, ANI reported.
"For Atalji’s contribution to Pokhran Nuclear Test, a police battalion will be named as the ‘Pokhran Battalion’," Singh told media.
Former PM and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last on August 16 at Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Science. He was 93.
He was cremated with full state honours at Smriti Sthal in Delhi on August 17.
