BJP's BS Yediyurappa took oath as Karnataka chief minister for the fourth time on Friday. Yediyurappa, who was administered oath by Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru, will have to prove the majority of his government in state Assembly on Monday.
The 14-month Congress-JD(S) coalition government fell after the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy lost the trust vote in Karnataka Assembly on Tuesday. Kumaraswamy and his cabinet ministers submitted their resignations to Governor Vajubhai Vala at Raj Bhavan following their defeat.
