<p>An MLA from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Anil Singh went against his party to vote for the BJP in the Rajya Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.</p>

<p>A day before the election, Singh&nbsp;met with the state chief minister Yogi Adityanath.</p>

<p>Singh said that he voted to the BJP on &quot; antaratma ki awaaz&quot;. He said, &quot;My inside asked me to vote for the BJP&quot;.</p>

<p>Anil Singh is the BSP MLA from Purwa in Unnao, UP.</p>

<p>Reports also said that another MLA, Nitin Agarwal, from the Samajwadi Party (SP) legislator from Hardoi, also voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates.&nbsp;</p>

<p>His father Naresh Agarwal had already joined the BJP earlier this month.&nbsp;</p>
