Rajasthan: 4-month-old girl branded with iron rod to cure pneumonia
In yet another incident relating to superstitious practices in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, a four-month-old infant was branded with an iron rod to cure her of pneumonia.

The infant, a resident of Rama Kheda village in Bhilwara was rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara after her health worsened.
The matter came to light when the doctor operating her discovered marks on her stomach.
The baby was branded a couple of days back before she was taken to the hospital.
This is not the first time when an incident of superstition was reported from Bhilwara said the SHO of Karoi police station.
The girl is undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara.
The police have also registered a case against unidentified accused on the complaint by Child Welfare Committee.
